Cerro Da Marina Hotel

Hotel is wonderful staff are friendly and extremely helpful and welcoming. It was clean everywhere. Breakfast was brilliant loads of choice . Only thing we felt mattress was a bit hard but that’s our own preference. Situated nicely for either the strip or the marina

Another visit, another superb stay. We have been coming here for several years now. We are finding the walk back up from town harder work as the years go by, but it is worth it. Ubers and taxis are cheap and available, but do not want to admit defeat. Hopefully we will return. If only I could pack this hotel up and take it with me!

Where do I start? Well, everything about our stay to the whole experience of coming to Portugal was the most amazing experience. My husband booked this break as a birthday surprise. He couldn't have chosen a better place for us. It's an adult only hotel which was nice, we have never done this before and it was so lovely to have peace and quiet and to be able to chill. We had a lovely room 112, which looked out to sea and down to the harbour. Our room was clean with a fridge and mini bar, a lovely bathroom too. Fresh towels each day. The breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice, from pastries, toast, cold meats, fruit, cooked breakfast, everything was offered. Lovely staff, friendly and helpful. The honesty bar is a great idea, open 24hrs you help yourself and write in the book what you have had and tally up before you vacate your room. It was a lovely swimming pool a little chilly for me, but my husband did have a swim. Beautiful gardens, plenty of sunbeds, no one rushing to put their towels on them, just no need to. A lovely touch that they leave a breakfast tray for you in your room if you have an early flight. Like lots of people have mentioned, it is in a hilly area, very quiet, but if it's too hilly for your legs, just get an Uber. They are not expensive, unlike the local taxis. All in all, an absolute gem with wonderful views, the best time, give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

What a gem of a hotel. If you want peace and quiet in a small hotel then this is the place. The rooms were large and airy, all with a balcony and either views of the pool or the marina. The staff were all excellent. The breakfast choice was very good and larger than some bigger hotels. We ate in the evening and the food was good. The pool area is beautiful with no fighting for sun loungers, a great place to relax and unwind. It’s at the top of a hill out of the old town and marina (but both in walking distance).
You help yourself at the bar to drinks and snacks then write in an honesty book. We knew this before we went. I understand why as the hotel is so small but I did miss the social aspect as no guests stayed around in the evening and someone to make a cocktail.

Stayed at Cerro da Marina for 7 nights, had a fabulous stay. So lucky with the weather beautiful sunshine, lots of walking involved as situated in a residential area, you can use uber/taxi to and from centre if needed there are few restaurants nearby, and also at the Marina.
All the are staff very friendly and helpful, we were lucky to stay in the ‘Penthouse’ which was fantastic thank you very much Paul for arranging this for us ☺️
The breakfast was very good plenty to choose from also plenty of sun loungers no need to be up at the crack of dawn, although some brits still seem to need to perform this holiday task!
Overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay, very quiet and peaceful just what we needed.
